Aspiration

This our land
unfree to some
to others great,
to most a giant of indifference,
(we watch our ballgames,
build our homes,
neglect to guide our children,
forget our President's assassination.)
should be as we should be,
struggling to betterment
to find the lost truth,
a kinder wisdom,
instead of submerging
into evildoing and uncaring
that will subvert survival.
