Original Face

Since I was a young girl
I have always looked
for your original face.

Silly! Not the one you can see,
The one hidden from view,
but right there under the surface.

The one you think no one cares to see ... but I do.
I wish you too could see my original face.
I look for her too, and often find her.

She is there, sometimes hidden
amoung layers of distorted images, behind the frosted window pane ...
My original face is my friend, the keeper of my essence.

She knows me, and I her,she is the untouched essence of who I really am.
In that secret hide away that nobody can see ... there's someone just like me ... someone with my original face.
