Autumn Noon

Wandering in the warm sunlight
Of autumn noon, the poignant air
Is almost too sweet to breathe.
But shallow breaths give way
To deep draughts to the core,
Lifted back.
                   Steps are wandering,
Limbs loose, the path aimless
And purposeful as a butterfly's.
At length the heart of noon
Is found, nowhere, and mind
And body flow with the time.
