Desertion

the heartache from separation sprouted silently
like a wilting flower from the departing spring
at times of agonizing lonesome moments
the wailing wind blows my emotion around
and the sorrows shackle my helpless thoughts
excavating the mystery of silent nights
and the liberated spring of tears
bursting apart every dream i had
and the excruciating disbelief of divinity
captive my heart with claws of gloom
i stand alone in the middle of a crossroad
without a hope, without a direction
vainly I may walk a step or two
knowing the oasis, merely a mirage
and the scent of you in the breeze
that may never pass by again
for traces of togetherness
that may never return in soft rain
and without your intimacy
the life escapes from part of my being
and for that love i have lived once
