'Death all of the time':
a Vedanta slogan
honored by the wise.

Death all of the time:
it is the metre fading
while the poem goes on.

Death all the time:
it is lilies in the pond
choking the fountain.

Death all of the time:
it is drying pools cheating
the last rays of sunlight.

Death all of the time:
lingering voices of children
already called home.
