Pass and Then Gone

As the snow melts
     silently
          down window pane
and the sound
     of the bell
          fades away
As the darkness
     is greeted
          each morning
               at dawn
By illuminating
     light of
          the day
Tender moments
     that pass
          the swift
               and
                    the fleet
Pass, too,
     the slow
          filled
               with defeat
Pass, pass,
     pass
          and then gone
Melted,
     then silence,
          then darkness
               returns.
