Firefly

Fragile,
we are thin
as matchstick bones,
our changling flesh
embracing
translucent hearts.

Fireflies,
caught
in the tender blink
of always,
a slanting glimmer
in the timeless gaze
of the great beyond.

Laughing,
we touch tomorrow.
